Home inventory

Know where everything is.

Waoo Storage is a home inventory that keeps up with real life. Photograph what you pack, label the bin it went into, and find any of it again in seconds — from the storage unit, the garage or your phone. Free for 1 location, 3 bins and 10 items.

Works in any browser, on any device. Nothing to install.

Everything a box of stuff needs you to remember

Built around how storage actually works — not a to-do list with photos bolted on.

Photograph everything

Snap a picture as you pack. Every item and every bin keeps its own photos, so you recognise a box before you open it.

Locations, bins, items

Three levels that match how you actually store things — a unit or a garage, the bins inside it, and what is in each bin.

Find it in seconds

Search names and descriptions across your whole inventory, then narrow by location or bin without losing your place.

Know what it is worth

Record what you paid and what it would cost to replace. Totals roll up per bin and per location for insurance and claims.

Split across bins

Twelve of something spread over three bins is one item, not three. Quantities stay assigned bin by bin and always add up.

Your data, exportable

Download the whole inventory as a spreadsheet whenever you want it — for a claim, a move, or your own records.

Set up in an afternoon

Three levels, in the order you would pack them.

1

Add a location

A storage unit, the garage, the basement at your parents’ house — anywhere your things live.

2

Label your bins

Name or auto-number each bin, photograph what is inside, and mark the ones with room left.

3

File your items

Add items with photos, cost and quantity, then drop them into the bin that holds them.

Free to start, cheap to keep

Starter is free for good. Paid plans are open now, and you can cancel any time.

Questions people ask

What is Waoo Storage?
A home inventory app. You add the places your things live — a storage unit, the garage, a basement at your parents’ house — number and photograph the bins inside them, and file items into those bins. After that you search instead of digging.
Is it free?
Starter is free and stays free: 1 location, 3 bins and 10 items, photos on every item and an export to a spreadsheet. Plus ($4 a month) and Archive ($9 a month) lift the limits and add printable QR labels. You can upgrade whenever you need more room, and cancel any time from your account.
How is this different from a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet cannot hold a photo of the open bin, and the photo is the part that actually saves you. Waoo Storage also splits quantities across bins — twelve of something in three bins is one item, not three — and rolls value up per bin and per location, which a flat sheet will not do without work.
Does it work with no signal inside a storage unit?
Yes. The app keeps a copy of your inventory on the device and reads from it when the network is gone, and anything you file while you are offline is queued and sent the moment you have a signal again.
Do I have to list every single item?
No, and trying to is why most inventories get abandoned halfway. Photograph every bin, then list only the things you would actually go looking for — tools, documents, seasonal gear, anything valuable. The photos cover the rest.
Can I use it for insurance?
That is what a lot of people use it for. Record what you paid and what it would cost to replace, and the totals roll up per bin and per location. The whole inventory exports to a spreadsheet, which is a format an insurer will accept.
Can somebody else see my inventory?
Only if you share it. A location can be shared read-only, so another person can see and search what is in it without being able to change your records. Nothing is public and there are no public links.
What do I need to install?
Nothing. Waoo Storage runs in any browser, on a phone, a tablet or a laptop, so there is no app to download and nothing to keep updated.

What people keep in it

Six jobs, one product. Open the one that sounds like your situation.

Stop opening every box to find one thing.

Start with a single location and the bins you can see from where you are standing.

Waoo Storage is made by Waoo Network, a software development company in Madison, Wisconsin. Your account works across every Waoo app, and your inventory is only ever read back to the account that created it.
