What this covers
Waoo Storage is a home inventory: you tell it what you own, where it is, and what it is worth, and it gives that back to you when you need it. This page says plainly what is stored, where it lives and what you can do about it.
Your account is a Waoo Network account and works across every Waoo app. Signing in to Storage does not give Storage's data to the other apps - inventory records are only ever read back to the account that created them.
What is stored
- Your account - Email address, name if you give one, and a password stored only as a one-way hash. Sign-in tokens are held in your browser and expire.
- Your inventory - Locations, bins and items, along with any quantities, costs, values, descriptions and label codes you enter.
- Your photos - Every picture you attach, stored on infrastructure we operate and served only to your signed-in session - photos are never given a public link.
- If you pay for a plan - Your plan, its price and any sales tax, renewal dates, the card's brand and last four digits, and the reference numbers our payment provider gives each customer, card and payment. Your full card number goes straight to the payment provider and never reaches us.
- Usage measurement - Which pages are opened and which actions complete, so the product can be improved. This is aggregate behaviour, not the contents of your inventory.
What is never done with it
Your inventory is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers, and it is not used to train models. Nobody browses it. The only people who can see your items are you and anyone you deliberately share a location with.
We will hand data to law enforcement only where the law actually requires it, and will tell you when we are permitted to.
Who else touches it
- Hosting - Servers and storage we operate, behind a content delivery network that terminates traffic and blocks abuse.
- Email - A transactional email provider, used for sign-in, verification and anything you ask us to send. Marketing email is opt-in only.
- Payments - Stripe or Square, which take the card you enter in their form, charge it for your plan and its renewals, and hold the card so renewals can be charged. They see your email address and what you are paying for, never your inventory.
- Analytics - Google Analytics, measuring page views and completed actions. It never receives your item names, photos or values.
What you can do
- Take it with you - Export your inventory as a spreadsheet at any time, from the items page or your account page. On the free Starter plan the export includes only the entries Starter keeps open; entries locked above its limits are left out until you upgrade. Wherever the law gives you a right to a copy of your personal data, write to us and we will send you all of it, locked entries included.
- Delete it - Remove all of your Storage data from the account page. Deletion is permanent and is not undone by signing up again.
- Correct it - Every record is editable in the app. If something is wrong that you cannot reach, write to us.
- Ask - Any question about your data goes to [email protected] and gets a human answer.
How long it is kept
Your inventory is kept for as long as your account exists, because that is the point of an inventory. Deleted records are retained briefly in backups before ageing out. When you delete your Storage data, the photos attached to it go with it.
Records of payments you have made are kept after that, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even though the inventory they paid for is gone.
Cookies
Sign-in uses a cookie so your session survives a page refresh; without it the app cannot keep you signed in. Analytics sets its own cookie. Nothing here follows you to other sites.
